The Starry Night Band, Middleboro, MA

The Starry Night Band draws from a wide range of musical souces including spiritual, sacred, Celtic, folk and classical. Their original music is often inspired by the rich sounds of the natural world. This CD was shaped by the sounds and transforming experiences of Star Island in the Isles of Shoals off Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

The band was founded by Barry Simon, an amazing hammered dulcimer player. He is joined by his wife Patty on flute, recorder and vocals, Elaine Ryan on bass and vocals and Bill Sherman on guitar, mandolin and vocals.
